Roof/skylight issues
There are two leaking skylights after the new roof was installed. Customer service failed to rectify the problem.
Skylights continue to leak and nobody will respond for help. It has been several years of bad repairs and failed warranty responsibilities. The old manager agreed to help resolve the issue, then he was replaced. The new manager, Costen, is zero help, nor was John Davis, the service manager, who has since retired.
Costen never did anything to help and each call was like starting the process over again.
I have placed multiple calls and inquiries the past few days and still nothing. Drafting a certified letter for legal action if they wont live up to their contract by 4/14/25.
User's recommendation: It’s far better to wait for the right roofing contractor.

Verified Reviewer |Gutter Helmet improperly installed new gutters, continually misdiagnosed leaks and will NOT accept accountability for damage done…STAY AWAY!!!
In all good conscious, we cannot recommend Gutter Helmet after their blatant mismanagement: professionally, ethically and legally. After doing business with Gutter Helmet, water damage started to appear.
We later discovered that Gutter Helmet’s install was not done properly and needed to be readjusted.
An easy fix, right? Wrong!
Once we addressed our concerns with the company’s owner (Kirt Byerly) he illegally voided our warranty and refused assistance. We complained about our mistreatment online where Gutter Helmet tried everything in their power to discredit our complaints.
If that was not bad enough, Gutter Helmet also tried to falsely accuse me of harassment to the police department.
This is not an exaggeration! Gutter Helmet really tried to have me thrown in jail for exercising our first amendment right; all because they did not like us informing the public of their shady business practices.
Now, Gutter Helmet is being investigated by our local law enforcement for their questionable actions. Again, we cannot put into words how disgusted we are with Gutter Helmet’s misconduct and would inform everyone to STAY AWAY!
We originally had our old gutters replaced due to water leakage with new gutters through SEMCO's Gutter Helmet. Our sales representative, Linda Radunsky, had the installers Zac and Scott install new gutters. After the install we continued to have water leakage, so we had the company come out to fix the problem. This time the employee representing Gutter Helmet, Troy, cocked the brackets of the gutters that was never the issue and said, "You're good to go! No more leaks...I guarantee it!" However, the leakage problem continues to this day! Our gutters now drain incorrectly and leak water in-between the gutters and fascia boards themselves causing more water damage and rot that we never had an issue with before our "new gutters" were installed! After calling out several other reputable companies, we found that all our gutters were improperly installed. Next, I spoke with a new co-owner, Vicki Byerly, and an employee, Iris Shaw, on two separate occasions. Both women explained Gutter Helmet would fix the problem at no additional cost to us and they would honor our warranty (which we were given a 10 year warranty on parts and labor). However, when Vicki’s husband, Kirt Byerly, came out to inspect the work done he accepted no liability or responsibility!? He even went as far as to pass blame on our roofers, ripped down a portion of our gutters during inspection and then voided our warranty? Kirt Byerly was incompetent, condescending and unprofessional and I would strongly advise against Gutter Helmet of the Pikes Peak Region.
And after posting our grievance with the company, Gutter Helmet, we received no communication or assistance from the local owners, Kirt and Vicki Byerly. These business owners displayed how completely unsympathetic and unwilling to assist with their company’s improper gutter installation. So, I tried to receive contact information on my territories regional manager, corporate office and/or a customer service department to complain where none was found or given by Gutter Helmet. This is a telling sign of their company policy; bottle-neck any legitimate complaints moving up the chain-of-command and making it so difficult to reach an authoritative individual that their dissatisfied customer base will just give up out of pure frustration.
It was only through my own inquiries and no assistance from the company that I found Chelsea Welsh was the National Marketing Manager of Gutter Helmet/SEMCO. It turns out that Gutter Helmet is owned by SEMCO Southeastern Metals. I had to post another complaint online asking Chelsea Welsh to contact me since the only information I could find on her was personal and not business related and did not feel comfortable contacting her outside of work. Chelsea Welsh contacted me and stated she would mediate our situation and keep an open line of communication at all times, which turned out to be false. She explained some details to us that we were never aware of and that Gutter Helmet failed to inform us upon. First, we were told by Gutter Helmet’s sales representative, Linda Radunsky, that we would have a 10 year warranty on parts and labor. That fact was even confirmed by Vicki Byerly (Gutter Helmet of the Pikes Peak Region) when she stated we were covered due to our 10 year warranty, but later refuted. After looking over our original sales receipt it states that a “written warranty’s” duration was supposed to be given at the time of job competition that we never received? However, Gutter Helmet’s documentation states they guarantee a “professional install,” which was also…never received! Now, I am starting to see Gutter Helmet’s shady and unethical business practices at this point. Second, Gutter Helmet does not normally install gutters. I was confused when Chelsea Welsh discussed this information since Gutter Helmet sold, installed and warranted our gutters!? Well, it turns out that Gutter Helmet subcontracted out our work with another company and never informed us upon this decision. If we had known all this information up-front we would have taken our business elsewhere. However, Gutter Helmet felt it was better to lie and deceive us out of our money instead.
After Gutter Helmet hires a subcontractor to incorrectly install our gutters, I wanted to know what Gutter Helmet/SEMCO at the corporate level was willing to do to correct this issue since the Byerly’s were reluctant to assist in correcting the issue their company created. Chelsea Welsh stated she needed all our original paperwork form Gutter Helmet before moving forward. I thought this request was a bit odd since the last time I discussed this matter with our local Gutter Helmet (in Colorado Springs, CO.) they had copies of our original paperwork…mmm…how else were they able to look up our gutter installation information and state our warranty duration? I would have imagined Chelsea Welsh would have requested it from this particular Gutter Helmet location? Unless, Chelsea Welsh wanted to see if we still had our original paperwork and a possible legitimate legal case against them. Again, Gutter Helmet’s crude business tactics are quite apparent and is practiced, regrettably, throughout the entire company itself. It seemed Gutter Helmet was looking for an excuse to relinquish themselves of any liability and/or responsibility from their improper install; however I decided to accommodate her request. I sent Chelsea Welsh a copy of our original paperwork and figured they would want to fix the problem and not prolong this matter further. Yet, I underestimated Gutter Helmet’s deceitfulness to force their will upon us.
After several weeks of tying to delegate this matter, I finally received a voicemail message from a man named Kirt representing Gutter Helmet out of Denver. He stated that, “Chelsea Welsh gave him the okay to move forward in fixing our gutters.” So, Kirt said, “He would be sending out a subcontractor to get an estimate of work needed to fix our gutters properly.” The subcontractor, Jon Quesenberry, with Rain Guard Seamless Gutters came to the house and gave an estimate of work needed. Jon said, “He would send this information off to Gutter Helmet and would do the work as soon as Gutter Helmet approves it.” A few days passed, yet again, with no contact from either Jon Quesenberry or Gutter Helmet, I contacted Chelsea Welsh were she sends a “legal document” for us to sign at the last minute before proceeding with their promised work. Chelsea Welsh never stated we would have to sign anything before and now Gutter Helmet/SEMCO is making it a requirement? Gutter Helmet/SEMCO’s legal document strips us of any legal action against the company, absolves them of any wrong doing and silences us from ever speaking out against the corporation in person or in writing for the rest of our lives…no joke…it states it as a requirement. Here is an example, “It is also agreed that Betty Duran and Jason Griego will never make a complaint or say a disparaging word in public or private or in person or electronically about Gutter Helmet and any persons or business associated with Gutter Helmet from now until the end of time. Betty Duran and Jason Griego also agree to immediately take down, remove, cease and desist any active complaints, disparaging reviews anything and everything in print or electronically with any naming Gutter Helmet or its agents.” Yes, this is verbatim and just a portion of their absurd document they wanted us to sign.
Once I question this legal document’s necessity and expressed our reluctance to sign it (especially before any work was done) Chelsea Welsh became extremely agitated and cut off all contact. So, how do you mediate if the mediator themselves will not communicate with you? That’s right, you can’t! Chelsea Welsh’s mannerism was extremely childish and unprofessional on her part. She went as far as commenting on another post afterwards, but did not have the common decency to communicate with us? And as far as her comments, I never tried to hide the fact that I was speaking on my family’s behalf upon this matter…where I told her this fact from the beginning. Also, Chelsea Welsh’s distasteful comment of accusing me of cyber-bulling her is a straight out lie and ridiculous. I was contacting Chelsea Welsh because she was our negotiator in this matter. I cannot believe Gutter Helmet’s extreme unprofessional, combative and unethical manner has gone unchecked from its affiliate, Gibraltar Industries Company?
After Chelsea Welsh broke off all contact, I decided to contact Kirt at the Denver office to find out what the *** was going on? I was immediately contacted with another Gutter Helmet representative, Carl Shive, which had to call Chelsea Welsh personally to find out what was happening. Sad, but true, I was forced to talk through a third-party in order to communicate with our “unresponsive mediator.” Quite absurd I know, but it gets worse! Carl Shive told me the Vice President of Gutter Helmet/SEMCO, Michael J. Scott, would be taking over this situation personally. I thought we would finally be able to move forward in a timely manner with a more experienced professional, but I was terribly mistaken.
Michael J. Scott’s first email communication was to advise us not to communicate with Chelsea Welsh, which was apparent at this point. Also, by personally replying to Chelsea Welsh’s unprofessional comment was “inflammatory and libelous and will not be tolerated!” Really? So, Gutter Helmet is finding fault in trying to clarify a situation or just exercising the First Amendment right altogether? Yes, an awful start towards mediation if this was ever Gutter Helmet/SEMCO’s true intention.
At this point, I spoke with the Better Business Bureau to help facilitate this situation and forwarded the needed Gutter Helmet/SEMCO’s documentation for review. The Better Business Bureau advised to receive the $800 check and pursue our own subcontractor for work needed for the signed legal document, which is stated in Gutter Helmet/SEMCO’s own document. However, this exchange should be done in person to assure Gutter Helmet/SEMCO’s sincerity to fulfill their promise at time of signing. Here is that portion of the document verbatim, “Please understand, Gutter Helmet can’t be held responsible for gutter installations, but for this special situation we will remedy this problem by hiring Rain Guard Seamless Gutter or issuing a check for you to pick your own contractor. Gutter Helmet will pay a sum of $800 to repair your installation issues. This payment is to correct the slope of your gutters and install a new drip edge.”
And Michael J. Scott’s shocking response to this reasonable proposal was to refuse, accuse me of blackmail and stopped all communication!? Michael J. Scott states, “What you have offered is not acceptable; we have offered a generous solution for a problem unrelated to our products but we will not issue a check.” What!? It is obvious Michael J. Scott did not even read his own legal document created by his own employees! This corporation cannot even communicate with each other successfully- it is no wonder why they are so counterproductive and contradicting from person-to-person. Next, Michael J. Scott says “Offering to remove your posts for payment is akin to blackmail and we will not be party to such action.” This comment is absurd and belligerent (at best) for the $800 payment is for fixing the improper gutter installation done by Gutter Helmet. And the request for updating/deleting my reviews is a request made by Gutter Helmet/SEMCO and not us; I just reaffirmed the fact that this would be done. If Gutter Helmet/SEMCO truly wanted to work with us they would have done so already and would not have been so closed to negotiations…yet…they will not even communicate to mediate. Why? Gutter Helmet/SEMCO’s business model is by far the worst display of ineffective, unethical, unprofessional and combative conduct I have ever encountered in my entire life. So, I have to stand behind my original view of Gutter Helmet and inform everyone to “STAY AWAY!”
I have received a few requests to update my Gutter Helmet review with more information and hopefully this will answer any unanswered questions.

After install of our new gutters they would not drain water correctly and leaked constantly! We called them out to fix the problem since they guaranteed a “10yr. warranty on parts/labor,” and yet they still failed to fix the problem!? Now, one of the co-owners (Vicki Byerly) stated, “We would be taking care of and they would make things right with us and honor our 10yr.
warranty…don’t worry!” However, when her husband the other co-owner came out to my home (Kirt Byerly) he refuted everything his wife said previously! He told me that he would not honor my warranty!? I’ve never heard of a company voiding a previous contract/warranty before!? This man was very inconsiderate and showed me he did not care whatsoever, even after admitting the gutters were not properly installed!
Kirt Byerly would not offer any help or reconciliation; not even an estimate of work needed!?
He also went as far as to tear down a port of my gutter of my garage during inspection and walked away, until I told him to fix the damage. Gutter Helmet has scammed us out of $1200 and would advise everyone to take your business elsewhere!!!
Terrible customer service
I attempted 5 times to set up a "free estimate" and three times was told I would be called back and never was, once was told I needed to pay $75 dollars to transfer a warranty before they could send somebody and once had an estimate scheduled for 9:00 on a Saturday and he never showed up and I never received a call. They can do this because they have a monopoly in each area and no competition. I am now using a different product and love it.

Unimpressed with so-called lifetime warranty
We just had a gentleman from the local gutter helmet affiliate come to inspect the gutters we had installed in 2019 to find out what caused ice to accumulate in our gutter during a snow storm this last winter, dropping onto our heat pump, freezing it up. This gentleman did not climb up to closely inspect the gutters.
He just looked up from the ground, then gave me a very long-winded explanation for what caused it, and of course, it wasn't the gutters fault.
He said he could have someone come out to climb up and look for a $50 fee, but if actual work had to be done to repair the gutter, or clear it out, we would be charged extra for that work as well. So much for their so-called lifetime warranty.

Verified Reviewer |Damage upon installation
Installed the gutter but during first big rain the water came down in torrents in a couple of places. Turns out there was some damage done to the gutter which they said was probably caused by a ladder.
They blamed us for the damage and refused to repair it without charging us yet again. My husband is 78 and Im 76.
No way in *** we used a ladder to get on the roof. Not a reputable company as far as Im concerned.
User's recommendation: Don’t bother with them. Find a company that admits their mistakes and repairs them.
Second time I have had Gutter Helmet installed. Job went smoothly and included new gutters. Work and cleanup went with now issues. Very professional and I would recommend them for your gutter eor
No issues. Job went smoothly and on schedule. One minor alignment issue was quickly addressed after the first rain.

Jared and Shelby did a splendid job installng my Gutter Helmet today. They were very careful with ladder placement and not walking where I have valuable plants underground. Thank-you so much.
Shelby and Jared installed Gutter Helmet on my house and garage today. 2 sides of the property have gardens that are full of valuable plants.
They were very careful to not walk or place ladders there.
They were very experienced and careful in all the cutting and measuring and installation. I would highly recommend them and this product.

I purchased a gutter helmet about 5 years ago. I was told they would come out regularly to inspect and clean.
Well, that stopped about 2 years ago.
Now I'm back up on a ladder to do it myself. Wondering if they are still in business.
- Poor service
User's recommendation: My recommendation is don't buy in the first place
TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE customer service. They just don’t listen.
I had gutter helmet installed in 2019 and have had problem after problem. Each time someone would finally show up, they kept finding a problem that was due to the poor work of the installation team.
They would fix 1 problem only to have others emerge. I finally had the area manager come out in Nov 2023 and look at all the problems I was still having and he found right away what and why the helmets werent working right. He said the color I needed to have was on back order and when it came in he would schedule a time for him to be here when they would replace and repair the poor work that had been done. I waited and waited and finally called only to find out that the company had fired all their area managers and customer service for Oregon was sent to a place back east.
That customer service dept has dropped the ball again and again and they dont listen to my concerns. They finally did have a man come up in August and he did spend over 3hrs replacing brackets, missing pieces and realigning some panels.
All that work should have been done on the original installation. I had gutter toppers for over 20yrs that worked beautifully and lost them to a new roof installation.
User's recommendation: DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY
Lack of response to calls, being hung up on during requests and long lengths of time between my call and a service response.
I had roof replacement done and requested Gutter Helmet to remove the cover guard. I called several times to ask when they would come to do the work and did not get a response.
Someone just showed up and removed the covers. After the roof was replaced, I called to have the covers replaced. There was no response again. Today I called left my information, did not get a call back.
Actually got a person, who just hung up.
I'm not at all satisfied with the follow up service with Gutter Helmet. If I had to do it again, I would not use them and definitely would not recommend them to anyone, especially friends.

Unsatisfied customer
Looking for a live person to talk to about issues Im having with gutter helmet, not answer a bunch of questions and never get connected! I dont want to be connected to a local dealer because they are not helpful!!!
Frustrated, customer
Terrible customer service.
Since we had Gutter Helmet, service has been mediocre to say the least. The most recent is that there is something in the gutter(birds nest?) that is causing the gutter to overflow during rain.
First call made was never returned. Called again and was given a 2-3 week wait. Plus we had to pay a $50 service call fee up front. It has been 3 weeks and still no service.
Called today. Person we spoke with stated we will get a call.
And now we wait again. This company has really gone downhill.

Verified Reviewer |Poor Customer Service Even from Lednor
I installed Gutter Helmets on my house 30 years ago. Best investment i ever made until I needed a new roof.
Long story short my local installer went out of business after me paying $1000 to have them put back on properly. The reinstallers didn't really know how to put them back on correctly and a dozen of my six year old shingles are either cracked or torn. The new local dealer says it's not his problem. My $1k check was cashed home by Gutter Helmet in MD which is actually owned a by company known as Lednor.
I've contacted them as has the new dealer in ATL. So far no response from MD.
Even the big wigs in MD won't return my calls. I never thought a company with a national brand would treat me like this.
- Good effective product
- Bad service after the sale
Preferred solution: A professional reinstaller to fix the problems from the previous installer that went out of business.
User's recommendation: Don't bother with them. Even the parent company won't stand behind their local installers sometimes unprofessional, substandard work.

Verified ReviewerAggressive Driver and Unsafe Man
A man in white VAN not only passed me on a solid yellow line in a 45mph zone, increasing speed to well above 60th. He proceeded to drive aggressive behind a motorcyclist.
Causing the motorcyclist to have to swerve out of this mans way to avoid being hit.
Then the man stopped at Wawa and processed to flip me off and call me a dumb *** with no brain. He also flipped me off multiple times.
If this is any indication of the employees and work, I would stay very far away.

Gutter Helmet was started in the 1960's by Bob Demartini. After retiring in 1979, Bob devoted his time to developing the first professional-grade gutter protection systemGutter Helmet. Gutter Helmet is a patented gutter protection system that installs right over your existing gutters. It blocks leaves, pine needles and other debris out of gutters while allowing rainwater to flow into gutters freely. This revolutionary system protects homes from the harmful effects of clogged gutters, built up of rainwater, and insect infestation. I have one damaged five foot strip on my home and they want $800 to install one piece. The company says they have a minimum charge. What a rip!!!

Thanks for all the info about GH. I feel like I dodged a bullet and constant stress of a problem that could have be easily resolved.
The "General Sales Manager" is a joke. Poor customers service, lies and she interrupts you over and over again.
This attitude prompted me to investigate the company on the internet and found the other negative reviews. I will not use this company although they installed the system several years ago (improperly, according to a roofing inspector and 2 roofers).
Thank you for posting your experience with Gutter Helmet. I was going to have them do my house.
Thanks for saving me all the bad experiences you've had with all the people in this company.
I'm sorry for your family and the disrespect and unprofessional ism you received from this company. This is the type of thing that gives the contractors and the construction business a bad reputation.
I commend your valiant effort sir! But, it is quite clear that GH has no real intention in fixing your gutters that they themselves installed incorrectly, which dumbfounds me?
I cannot understand why GH thought it was in their best interest to screw-you over? It’s unfortunate, for you went above-and-beyond what any normal person would’ve done to mediate the situation.
As others have stated, you do have a strong legal case against them and would advise you to take them to court at this point. Thank you for the review and GH will not be receiving my business either.
Thank you for the review! Gutter Helmet will not be getting my business. :(
My husband and I have dealt with Kirt Byerly of Gutter Helmet in Colorado Springs and if anyone deserves to lose their business it's him. Kirt Byerly is a sleazy business owner and is completely untrustworthy.
He lied to us on several occasions concerning Gutter Helmet's product quality, overall price and warranty coverage. Mr. Byerly must have thought we wouldn't research it for ourselves? This man was very unfriendly and inattentive to our needs.
We do not recommend him or Gutter Helmet.
Chelsea Welsh should be relived of her duties immediately! I'm shocked being a National Marketing Manager for Gutter Helmet Mrs.
Welsh has been allowed to act in such a manner? Mrs. Welsh's conduct is completely unprofessional and unfit to hold a managerial position. No wonder why so many people are angry with Gutter Helmet with individuals like Mrs.
Welsh managing. Why offer aid to these homeowners and never do it? Only to demand these homeowners sign your crazy documentation before they receive a "professional install" by Gutter Helmet that should've have been done in the first place. Mrs.
Welsh also continues to comment on their post; even after she stopping all communication with the homeowners- a real classy lady? Mrs. Welsh is an incompetent fool and Gutter Helmet's lack of service and/or professionalism will remain in the toilet with managers like Mrs.
Welsh running the show. :(
Wow! Gutter Helmet and Southeastern Metals misconduct is sickening.
I’m angry just after reading this review, so I can only imagine the homeowner’s frustration. PLEASE, DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING! If Southeastern Metals wanted to do ‘right’ by you and your family they would’ve done so already. Mr.
Scott’s lack of follow-through is a more telling sign that they don’t care and cannot be trusted. Trust me, if you sign their paperwork you will lose any legal stance for a lawsuit and will be liable to uphold Mr. Scott’s absurd requests. Personally, it would give me greater satisfaction paying a legitimate company to redo my gutters and leaving my complaints up and running knowing that thousands will read it.
The readers can be the judge.
Gutter Helmet and Southeastern Metals seems like a nightmare corporation to deal with and is the #1 reason why I would never do business with them.
Mrs. Welsh's statement that our gutters were not affiliated with Gutter Helmet in anyway is untrue.
We only dealt with Gutter Helmet and NOT a subcontractor; our sales receipt ONLY states Gutter Helmet. Also, our warranty guarantees a "professional install" backed by (you guesses it) Gutter Helmet! Where the other company Mrs. Welsh states, JPM Enterprises, as the gutter installers was ALSO OWNED BY SOUTHERN COLORADO'S GUTTER HELMET!!!
How do I know? I have had several discussions with Colorado's Secretary of State and it was confirmed. THIS IS ALL PUBLIC RECORD!!! Here it is: http://www.sos.state.co.us/biz/TradeNameSummary.do?quitButtonDestination=BusinessEntityResults&fileId=200********&masterFileId=200********&srchTyp=TRDNM&entityId2=200********&nameTyp=TRDNM.
I will be filing a formal complaint with the Attorney General's Office and the Bureau of Consumer Protection Agency if Gutter Helmet/SEMCO continues to be uncooperative upon this matter. I have spoken with Mr.
Smith of Gibraltar Industries who informed us that Mr. Scott of Gutter Helmet/SEMCO is now willing to discusses this matter further, so I'll keep this post updated to any future changes.
Their are some really shady characters working for Gutter Helmet & Southeastern Metals. Poor management all around!
The Byerly's should lose their business and Mrs. Welsh & Mrs.
Scott should be fired. You need to file a complaint with the Attorney General's Department ASAP!
Some statements made by Mrs. Welsh are incorrect.
My elderly mother, Betty Duran, purchased the gutters through Gutter Helmet where I am speaking on her behalf that I have stated from the beginning and there was no "internal investigation" done by Mrs. Welsh. This is Mrs. Welsh's feeble attempt to discredit and marginalize our complaint.
I have never stated I purchased the gutters personally...my mother did...which states her name on the 'Bill of Sale'!? And yes, I was there personally in dealing with Gutter Helmet's sales representative, Linda Radunsky, where she straight out LIED to us about the product and warranty (as well as the Byerly's). Linda Radunsky also stated our gutters would be installed by Gutter Helmet and not a subcontractor, which contradicts Mrs. Welsh's statement.
Regardless, Gutter Helmet's warranty does state a "professional install" and I have several independent gutter companies that stated that our gutters were NEVER installed correctly and will testify in court (if need be). I agree with Ernesto Gonzaga as well..."the company is 100% liable for the bad install of gutters." And we request that Gutter Helmet/SEMCO honors their agreement by sending us a $800 check (in Betty's name not mine) for needed repairs estimated by their own chosen subcontractor...this is a fair compromise.
These business owners of each separate location of GH aren't hired on merit, but rather purchase their ownership. Where many of these GH owners are unfit to run a company.
And SEMCO's business model is flawed too. SEMCO's mission statement doesn't account for customer satisfaction or retention. They just want to maximize profit at any cost, regardless if its ethical or unethical. Why do you think GH's sales team is so aggressive, it's all commission based sales.
GH's sales team doesn't care about the homeowner or what "misrepresentation of the truth" they will tell you in-order for you to buy.
GH's sales team are thinking about their own pay-check and don't have your best interests in mind; they don't care. GH and SEMCO are finally being investigated by my state's AG office and hopefully every person with an 'open complaint' against the corporation will finally receive justice.
I'm in the process of talking over this matter with Gibraltar Industries and wanted to wait until I discuss this matter further with them before posting a final update to my original posting.
It appears Chelsea Welsh has re-posted the same comment as her Dec.
5th posting, so here is my reply:
True, I have had several conversations with Chelsea Welsh and have not come to a satisfactory conclusion upon this matter. Unfortunately, Chelsea Welsh will no longer discuss this matter further with me and will not even return any of my phone calls to mediate. I have only expressed my desire to find a workable solution to this matter and I have no-way cyber bullied anyone. If you truly feel that way please post my emails and let the readers be the judge.
I have been as respectful and open to negation as I possibly can. When Gutter Helmet asked for our original paperwork we accommodated them with no problem. Our warranty does state that Gutter Helmet guarantees a "professional install" and after speaking to several other companies all have stated our gutters were not installed correctly. Even the local Gutter Helmet owner (Kirt Byerly) stated, "Your gutters were improperly installed." We are not asking for compensation for water damage done to our home nor a full refund.
We are simply asking to receive what Gutter Helmet promised: a professionally installed gutter system that does not leak. Nothing more...this is a fair compromise. And we don’t understand why Gutter Helmet is being so difficult? True, we are not comfortable with signing Gutter Helmet's legal document in-order to move forward.
Especially, signing a document before any work has been completed. For Gutter Helmet’s document absolves them of any responsibility and/or wrong doing and silences us from ever speaking out against the company if Gutter Helmet decides not to uphold their end of the agreement. The public will never know the full story!
Please try to understand our point-of-view upon this matter. And yes, I'm speaking on behalf of my family (Betty Duran) upon this matter as I have stated before
As I am reading the comments below it seems like there is not a clear understanding of the situation. Betty Duran not Jason Griego bought gutters from JPM Enterprises in 2007.
Not Gutter Helmet or any of their products only gutters. There is no such product as Gutter Helmet Gutters. Please understand that what Jason is stating is not only not true but he wasn't even present during the sales process. How many of you currently have more than a one year warranty on your gutters?
I agree with Ernesto Gonzaga below, JPM Enterpeises installed your gutters they should be responsible not Gutter Helmet or SEMCO, thus we do not supplly or produce gutters. We do not sell gutters. It's up to each individual dealer to either sell generic gutters or hire subcontractors. Gutter Helmet is a gutter protection product not a gutter.
I am not clear why Jason feels that we should be responsible for his failed gutters that are 7 years old. In 2009 was the first complaint, two years into a 1 year warranty product. When he called he had already been past his warranty timeframe, they did come out promptly and addressed the issue. Now Jason is trying to send an addtional claim in 2013 4 more years after.
Please understand we pride ourselves in taking care of our cusomters all over the nation. Jason Griego nor Betty Duran has our product, they have generic gutters that are not under warranty. Cyber bullying or threatening through online sources is not the proper way to go about doing business. We went out of our way to try to accomodate however; I will not stand for cyberbullying or cyberstalking of our employees.
It is not ethical and I will not allow someone to threaten me though online sources.
Semco Southeastern Metals treats their employees just a poorly as their customers. Their is an element of fear within the corporation.
If you say anything against Semco's policies or criticize how situations are poorly managed they will fire you real quick!
I'm surprised they are still in business? :x
OMG!!! Even after 234 likes GH still doesn't want to correct their bad install???
Talk about no common sense! It's way cheaper/easier to fix some gutters than to re-establish trust after a tarnished image...duh! GH obviously doesn't have a public relations employee that's worth a *** That's one of the reasons why I personally stay away from large sized corporations...they typically overlook customer relations/retention. GH isn't going to be in business for long if they continue to turn a blind-eye/deaf-ear to their customer complaints.
Where a few hundred dollars in repairs is now going to cost the corporation tens of thousands of dollars in lost revenue, so I guess the jokes on them! :eek
As for the homeowners they should go to Angie's List to find a high rated small/local company (within their area) to do business with in the future...those businesses actually care about their customers.
Good luck and thank for posting!!! :)
Yes, I am aware my updated review on Gutter Helmet did not display paragraph brakes that makes it difficult to read. I tried posting it twice with no luck. However, Pissedconsumer.com's staff is working on fixing this bug.
Could you please re-post this review of Gutter Helmet with spacing and paragraph brakes...it's kinda hard to read. Thank you and sorry to hear about your issues.
What a despicable act of force shown by SEMCO's Gutter Helmet..even their upper management treated these homeowners like ***! These particular individuals mentioned need to be fired at once. What the *** is going on over there???
